"Toilet Flushing and Neural Firing" Tutorial

  • What? Explain how a flushing of a toilet is analogous to the firing of a neuron

  • Why? Enhances learning of a complicate process by making a connection to an everyday occurrence (oh, and it makes learning fun!)

  • Did It Work? Assessed through summative exam; students rate this is the most useful learning activity on course evaluations
