I have a fascination about humans and vocation: what does it take for us to engage in purposeful AND productive work? I'm on a journey to explore this fascination, and apply my knowledge and expertise in a mid-market or large corporation.

My own work life began as a data analyst in the logistics division for Walmart Stores, Inc. There I developed the ability develop and report on performance metrics in a way that informed the decisions of division leaders. I also honed my skills  in the use of spreadsheet and database tools, skills which I would continue to use in all my work. From here I was privileged to discover and act on my passion for teaching by entering public school education. Over my career as an educator, I designed engaging instruction that has inspired the learning of scores of middle school and high school students in behavioral and social science. I also chaired and delivered a rigorous pre-university program for high school students where I coached and led other educators in the implementation of innovative teaching practices. Along the way, I became a National Board Certified teacher and served as a grader for Advanced Placement Psychology.

My journey and fascination continue...

My aim is to return to private industry in a learning and development capacity to help others grow and thrive in their careers. I am also pursuing a Certificate of Executive Coaching and am a graduate candidate in the MS of Talent and Organization Development (MSTOD) program at McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. I am excited to leverage my experience as a practitioner in the service of other professionals.
